January Saturday 16 1926

A dandy bright day. Wrote a letter to "Karen" in the morning and went outside for the first time in the afternoon. Played checkers with Bob and euchre and crokinole at night.

Sunday 17

Nice mild day. Some fo the folks went to church but I stayed home and got fussed up. Went down to spend afternoon with Jean. Melville and Eleanor were there and we had a great time which included taking{snaps?} Jean, Lou and Jack brought me down to "Bendemere" with "June" at night.

Monday 18

Nice wet rainy day for me to start back on my milk route again but I did and got along fine as Alex helped me. Home about 12:30. Felt rather tired all day but didn't get to bed until about ten o'clock.

January Tuesday 19 1926

Up early and had my team hooked up at seven o'clock. Away on route shortly after. Very nice mild day. Glenmorris short course boys were here in the afternoon judging. Quite a time holding cattle and sheep and watching them.

Wednesday 20

Busy day on my milk route. Rather a disagreeable kind of a day to be out. Counted up back tickets in afternoon so didn't get bottles washed till late. Fixed up horses and got milk ready after supper. Saw Uncle Tom print pictures for first time.

Thursday 21

A couple of inches of snow fell early in the morning. Nice bright day turning colder and blustery at night. Saw Jean and Dan in town. Worked at books until 10:30 at night and had a chat over the phone with Jean.
