August, 1927.

7 Sunday. Hot and sultry. We went to church & S.School this morning and visited at Sam Reid's today. Colon brought Edith, Roy, Lois and Sonny tonight and they are staying a week.

8 Monday. Hot. Turned cool & windy tonight. Edith & Ella went berry-picking this morning. Walter went to Elmira this morning and they were cutting barley this afternoon.

9 Tuesday. Lovely cool day. Ella did her washing. The men finished cutting the barley this a.m. and were plowing this p.m. Walter, Ella, Edith & Lois went to Creekbank tonight.

10 Wednesday. Lovely day. The men were plowing. We all went up to Tim Weaver's tonight as the group wanted to see Audrey.

11 Thursday. Fine day. Roy % Sonny went to Elmira with Walter. Vernon finished plowing. Mr. {Frauleuther?} moved his threshing mill here.

12 Friday. Hot. {Maurice?} was threshing wheat today and finished about 3 p.m. The following men helped - Enoch & Irvin Schneider, Addison & Harvey Reist, Eph Snyder, Elmo King, Frank {Frauleuther?} and Arthur Tomas. The men helped thresh Enoch Schneider's wheat.
