September, 1928.

4 Tuesday. Cloudy, and cool. Ella did the washing and most of the ironing Walter & Vernon were working up the wheat ground. Walter went to Creekbank and Alma tonight

5 Wednesday. Fine day. The men helped to thresh at Sam Horst's today. The machine moved here and they started threshing here around 3 oclock. Our help - Frank Fairweather, Bob Connelly, Walter Adler, Irvin & George Schneider, Williard Schwindt, Noah Miller Sam Horst and Louis Miller.

6 Thursday. Fine day. We threshed until after dinner Our help - F. Fairweather, Bob Connelly, Walter Adler, Eph. Snyder Louis Miller, Noah Miller, Irvin Schneider and Sam Horst. They moved over to Noah Miller's and the men helped there.
