Wed July x9_ Dull and showery, day of the Sunday. S. Pic-nic to Bonds Lake. I went to Prayer Meeting, and Auntie over at Pas.

Thur July 20 10_ Fine day, and cool, Mary and the children here all day. We went up there in the evening.

Fri July 21 11_ Fine day, and still cool. Mr Mrs and Miss Gibson here for tea.

Sat July 22 12_ Fine but warmer. Aunt Mattie and {between the lines it reads: Men cut first hay.} I walked out to Mrs Deans for tea.

Sun July 23 13_ Fine but extremely warm. Aunt M and I at Mary Watsons for tea. Uncle, Aunt Nellie and Annie went down to the Firemen's funeral.

Transcription Tips

  • Follow the example of transcribing provided in the first few PDF files of this diary.
